Sessions, attendance, staff time and spend, tied to the funding line that pays for them.
Attendance, staff hours and spend attach to the funding line that pays for them. That is what makes cost-per-outcome a number you can read instead of a number you reconstruct in April.

How Programs works in Krystal OS
Attendance without the spreadsheet
Each program has sessions. Each session has attendance. From there Krystal keeps the numbers a funder asks for without anyone adding them up: sessions held, average attendance, enrolled against target, and progress toward the goal in the award.
Every program knows who funds it
A program is tied to the grant, contract or unrestricted money that pays for it. Staff hours and direct costs logged against the program land on that funding line, which is how the Money side can show burn rate against the grant calendar without a month-end reconciliation.
Cost per outcome, computed
Because spend and outcomes sit on the same record, Krystal can divide one by the other. Cost per outcome appears on the dashboard as a computed value, in violet, and updates as sessions are logged.
Outcomes that become evidence
A certification earned, an assessment gain, a placement secured: each is recorded once, on the participant, against the program. When the funder report is drafted, those outcomes are the evidence, already counted.
Do we have to change how we run programs?
No. Krystal records what already happens: a session took place, these people attended, this outcome was reached. The structure follows your programs rather than the other way round.
What counts as an outcome?
Whatever you and your funder agreed to measure: a certification, a reading-level gain, an internship placement, a housing outcome. Outcomes are defined per program and recorded per participant.
Is program tracking on the Free plan?
Yes. Full program and attendance tracking is included on both Free and Pro.
Bring one grant in. See the whole loop.
Set up a single grant and one program, and Krystal will show you the report it can already write. Takes about fifteen minutes.
